Why are there no Hindu wedding dates in some months?
Some months have no Hindu wedding dates because the shastras close them to weddings: Kharmas, Adhik maas, Pitru Paksha, and any stretch when Venus or Jupiter is combust. A day inside those windows is out, however good its tithi or nakshatra.

The shastras name the months that open the door to marriage. The classical texts give the Sun's months in this shloka:
मिद्युनकूम्भमृगालिवृषाजगे मिथुनगेऽपि रवौ त्रिलवे शुचेः अलिमृगाजगते करपीडनं भवति कात्तिकपौषमधुष्वपि "Marriage is auspicious when the Sun is in Mithuna, Kumbha, Makara, Vrishchika, Vrishabha or Mesha. When the Sun is in Mithuna, it is auspicious in Ashadha up to its tenth tithi; and marriage also takes place when the Sun is in Vrishchika, Makara or Mesha, in Kartika, Pausha and Chaitra." Can we get married during Chaturmas?
Many families avoid weddings in Chaturmas, the four months from Devshayani Ekadashi to Devuthani Ekadashi, and begin the wedding season after Dev Uthani.

How are Hindu wedding dates chosen?
A Hindu wedding date must fall in an open month, on a day whose tithi, nakshatra and weekday favour marriage, with Venus and Jupiter strong and a pure lagna in your wedding city. A date that misses any one of these is set aside.
The day must favour a marriage
The classical texts name the wedding nakshatras: Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the wedding weekdays. The rikta tithis (the 4th, 9th and 14th) and Amavasya are set aside. And Pushya, the finest nakshatra for starting a business, is not a wedding nakshatra. Even Guru Pushya, the Thursday-and-Pushya yoga families wait for when buying gold, is avoided for a wedding.
The day must suit both of you
A panchang your cousin married on can still be wrong for you two. Tarini checks every date against the bride's and groom's charts:
