Many families remember their ancestors on every Amavasya. This option is for a full year: 12 Amavasyas in a row, each time a daan in your pitra's name.
The daan is made with a sankalp in your name, gotra and place. The temple's pandit ji takes the sankalp and makes the daan at the right muhurat.
The exact day of each Amavasya is worked out from sunrise at the temple you choose, so the date is right for that temple. You choose the same amount for every daan, from ₹101 to ₹10,001.
Each amount is charged 5 days before that daan's date, so the temple can buy the items in time.
After each daan, the temple sends a photo and the details of the sankalp.
